The BEB will investigate the witchcraft of the witch Tikhaya following a statement by People's Deputy Zheleznyak

The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESB) has launched an investigative analysis into possible illegal activities by Maria Arefieva, better known by the pseudonym “Maria Tykha.” 

The investigation was launched following an official request from People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who accuses the woman of fraud and intentionally concealing her actual income from tax authorities. 

This is stated in the BEB’s response to a request from Censor.NET.

The MP’s statement was received by the Bureau on June 24, 2026. The document notes that the individual in question may have misappropriated citizens’ funds through deception and abuse of trust. Earlier, Yaroslav Zheleznyak published an investigation into the activities of Maria Arefieva and Bogdan Orishchenko (“Magician Veliar”), who charged money for providing “magical services,” specifically promising relatives that they would find missing Ukrainian servicemen. Currently, BEB analysts are reviewing the facts presented, and if evidence of a crime is confirmed, the information will be entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Concurrently, the National Police of Ukraine has already opened a criminal case under the article on fraud regarding this matter.
