Consumers in seven regions are without electricity
As a result of hostilities and heavy shelling of energy infrastructure on June 22, 2026, some consumers in seven regions of Ukraine were temporarily left without power.
Damage was reported in the Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.
Repair crews have already begun addressing the damage caused by the attacks.
It is noted that utility workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible, and restoration efforts are ongoing 24 hours a day.
The agency notes that the situation is currently most challenging in the Donetsk and Kherson regions, where the largest number of consumers are without power due to damage to power infrastructure.
The challenging security conditions in these regions are significantly slowing down technical work.
While performing their duties, Ukrainian specialists once again came under enemy fire. Additionally, in Sumy Oblast, two power utility workers were injured during cleanup efforts following a second strike after an enemy drone attack.
The injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where they are currently receiving all necessary medical care.
Despite significant localized damage to the power grids, the overall situation in the country’s power system remains under control. The Ministry of Energy noted that no power restrictions are expected on June 22.
Please check the official websites of your regional power companies for any updates regarding power supply. Experts note that the summer of 2026 is proceeding under conditions of system balancing, but large-scale rolling blackouts have so far been avoided.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
