The United Kingdom will fund the creation of an artificial intelligence center under the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, which will focus on implementing cutting-edge technologies on the battlefield.
This was announced by the British government.
It is noted that 500,000 pounds sterling will be allocated to support the relevant team of experts.
“This team of experts will ensure the maximum use of artificial intelligence to gain an advantage on the battlefield,” the statement reads.
The parties also plan to conclude an expanded defense agreement that will provide for the development of cooperation in the defense industry and technologies, including with the involvement of third countries.
The UK Ministry of Defense emphasized that drones, electronic warfare capabilities, and rapid innovation are becoming key elements of modern warfare and national security.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported that the Defense AI Center “A1” will be the first facility of its kind to integrate artificial intelligence into defense processes.
Its mission will be to analyze the battlefield, evaluate technologies, and identify directions for the development of defense capabilities.
“AI solutions will become part of every domain of modern warfare—from intelligence to command and control. Our task is to create the most effective defense system in Europe,” said Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
