The EU should open the first negotiation cluster with Ukraine as soon as possible — Koshta
The European Union must accelerate the process of Ukraine’s accession negotiations and open the first negotiation cluster as soon as possible.
This was stated by European Council President António Costa.
According to him, support for Ukraine remains one of the key priorities of the European political community.
Costa emphasized that the EU will continue to support Ukraine for as long as necessary to achieve a just and lasting peace that respects its territorial integrity.
He also stressed the need to intensify the European integration process and open the first negotiation cluster in the near future.
The day before, Hungary’s incoming Prime Minister Péter Magyar held talks with representatives of the European Union. The parties discussed the prospects for opening negotiation clusters as part of Ukraine’s EU accession process.
