The NBU has expanded foreign exchange transactions through non-bank payment services
The National Bank has expanded the list of foreign exchange transactions that non-bank payment service providers may conduct. Their customers will be able to pay for goods and services abroad, receive international transfers to hryvnia accounts, and Ukrainian companies will be able to accept certain payments from foreign customers.
Individuals will be able to pay for goods, work, and services abroad using cards linked to payment accounts issued by non-bank providers. The limit for such transactions will be the equivalent of 200,000 UAH per calendar month.
It will also be possible to credit hryvnia payment accounts with transfers sent from abroad in foreign currency. Before being credited, the funds will be converted into hryvnia.
This applies to both transfers via international card systems and direct transfers from foreign accounts, including via SWIFT.
The changes also apply to businesses. Ukrainian entrepreneurs and companies that use the services of non-bank providers will be able to receive payments for goods and services from non-residents into their hryvnia accounts. This applies, in particular, to card payments and transfers from foreign accounts.
This information is based on a statement from the NBU.
The NBU will collect 7.9 billion hryvnia in debt from Bakhmatyuk.
In August, the NBU transferred nearly ₴298 million to the defense budget.
As a reminder, the NBU is investigating banks in connection with the collateral for Galushchenko.
According to People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, during the trial of Sense Bank CEO Oleksiy Stupak, prosecutors also disclosed a series of conversations which, according to investigators, confirm the origin of these funds.
