Ukraine has received 3,150 state-of-the-art hearing aids from Denmark, with a total value of over 7.8 million hryvnias. The equipment has already been delivered and distributed among medical facilities.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The hearing aids were delivered to hospitals in 10 regions and Kyiv. These include Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, and Chernivtsi regions.
The Ministry of Health notes that this will expand patients’ access to modern hearing rehabilitation and improve the quality of medical services in the regions.
Training also began in April for medical staff who will distribute the devices and advise patients on their use.
Children and adults with disabilities due to hearing impairments, as well as military personnel with related issues, can receive hearing aids free of charge, even without an established disability status.
