A Russian agent was exposed in Lyman, and a Russian soldier was killed
The Security Service of Ukraine, in coordination with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, conducted a special operation in Lyman, Donetsk Oblast, resulting in the arrest of a Russian agent and the neutralization of a Russian soldier who was hiding in her residence.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
According to the SBU, during the operation, the Russian soldier, codenamed “Shaman,” offered armed resistance. As a result, he was killed by Ukrainian troops.
As the investigation established, he had illegally entered Lyman to conduct reconnaissance of the Defense Forces’ positions in the frontline zone.
In the city, the Russian soldier made contact with a local unemployed woman, who subsequently began hiding him in her own home.
After that, the Russian enlisted her to direct fire at Ukrainian positions. Under the guise of taking walks, the woman surveyed the area, recorded the locations of the Defense Forces, and transmitted the coordinates to the enemy.

The soldier transmitted the data he received via radio to his command to prepare for shelling.
According to the case file, “Shaman” served in the 31st Motorized Rifle Regiment, the 67th Motorized Rifle Division, and the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation’s Central Military District.
The SBU documented the activities of the enemy cell in advance and took measures to protect the positions of Ukrainian troops.
The detained woman has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—treason under martial law. She is currently in custody.
The woman faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Previously, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the detention of an FSB agent who worked in one of the SBU’s frontline units and passed classified information to the enemy.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a coordinator of Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.
The SBU also exposed a Russian intelligence network that was planning terrorist attacks using teenagers.
