Chernyshov has commented for the first time on the allegations that he laundered 460 million hryvnias
Former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov has publicly commented for the first time on the allegations made by anti-corruption authorities, asserting his complete innocence and the lack of direct evidence in the criminal proceedings. The former high-ranking official called the allegations unfounded and based solely on assumptions and a distorted interpretation of ordinary business relations.
This is reported in a publication by “Glavkom.”
According to Chernyshov, he was indeed involved with the aforementioned land plot in Kozin, where cottages for the “Dynasty” cooperative were being built, but he participated only in the initial planning of the investment project before the start of his career in public service. After moving to the public sector in late 2019, he officially withdrew from the ownership of the development firm, and his subsequent financial ties with the company concerned solely the return of funds he had previously invested.
The former government official also criticized the actions of law enforcement during the imposition of preventive measures on four company employees last week, calling the prosecutor’s office’s demands for multi-million-dollar bail a clear attempt to pressure the investigation. He emphasized that the High Anti-Corruption Court did not uphold the motion for detention and significantly reduced the bail amounts, although Chernyshov continues to consider them disproportionate to the suspects’ financial standing.

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the procedural obligations for former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, who is implicated in anti-corruption investigations by NABU and SAPO, until June 8, 2026. This involves a series of restrictions that remain in effect during the pre-trial investigation.
