Will an abnormal heat wave from Europe reach Ukraine? Here's what forecasters say
Ukraine will not be hit by the abnormal heatwave forecast for Western Europe, and the wave of extremely high temperatures will remain outside our region. Meteorologists explain that weather patterns in Ukraine develop differently, so much milder conditions are expected through the end of May. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Experts at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reassure the public: heatwave forecasts for Western Europe should not be automatically applied to Ukraine, as atmospheric flows and the movement of air masses in different regions of Europe are not always directly linked.
In the coming days, Ukraine will see fairly comfortable weather, with daytime temperatures ranging from +21 to +27°C, and in some places, brief showers and thunderstorms are possible, which will quickly give way to sunny spells and will not cause prolonged weather anomalies.
Toward the end of the month, the situation will change, and temperatures, according to forecasters, may even drop below the seasonal average for this period, so we are talking more about cool weather than heat.
The Hydrometeorological Center specifically emphasizes that citizens should rely only on official data and not react to sensational headlines about the weather in other countries, which often have no direct bearing on Ukrainian conditions.
This weekend, Ukraine is expected to experience true spring warmth, with temperatures reaching up to 30 degrees in some areas. At the same time, some regions will see brief showers and thunderstorms, with hail and squalls possible in places.
