The Navy honored the marines; Ukraine honored the soldiers
On Ukrainian Marine Corps Day, service members were honored with awards for their service and combat achievements, which they continue to demonstrate on the front lines. Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa personally presented the awards to the troops and thanked them for their daily efforts. The Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, congratulated the marines on their professional holiday and presented them with state awards, noting their service amid a full-scale war, where every day for these units is spent on the edge of danger and combat missions. According to the commander, the marines are not simply celebrating a holiday today, but are continuing to carry out combat missions on the front lines, holding the most difficult sections of the front and inflicting losses on Russian forces.
A statement from the Ukrainian Navy on Telegram notes that Neizhpap emphasized the importance of their role in the country’s defense, highlighting that the Marine Corps is the true elite of the Ukrainian military, demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and self-sacrifice every day. In his address, he thanked the servicemen for their “daily titanic struggle” and emphasized that their dedication to their oath is one of the foundations of Ukraine’s defense capability.
Separately, the commander noted that marines continue to defeat the enemy on the front lines even on their professional holiday, remaining in combat formation without interruption from their duties. The Navy added that “their professionalism and dedication are one of the cornerstones of Ukraine’s defense,” and also greeted the troops with a traditional slogan of support.
