Four countries are ready to make contributions to the Ukrainian Transport Support Fund
During the URC-2026 Recovery Conference, the Ukrainian delegation finalized agreements on the establishment of the Ukrainian Transport Support Fund. The main objectives of the new entity will be to rebuild damaged infrastructure and accelerate the country’s integration into the European Union’s unified transportation network.
A corresponding declaration was jointly signed by the relevant ministries of Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, and Sweden. The four partner countries have already announced their readiness to provide initial financial contributions for the implementation of pilot projects to be selected by the Ukrainian side. Specifically, Lithuania, Sweden, and Norway will each allocate approximately one million euros, while Estonia will contribute 100,000 euros.
The accumulated funds will be used to finance the repair and maintenance of facilities, the procurement of specialized machinery and equipment, as well as the development of road, rail, port, airport, and border infrastructure to strengthen export routes. Ukraine will independently determine priority areas and coordinate the work, while the direct administration, procurement, and oversight of the transparent use of the funding will be entrusted to the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency (CPVA).
