As a result of hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions have been temporarily left without power. Energy workers are working to restore power wherever the security situation allows.
It is noted that power utility workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible, and restoration efforts are ongoing 24 hours a day.
Additionally, due to severe weather, 16 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions remain without power. Repair crews are working to restore service.
Regarding the imposition of restrictions
The Ministry of Energy noted that no power restrictions are expected on July 10. Please check the official websites of your regional power companies for any updates regarding power supply.
The ministry urged consumers to use electricity sparingly during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the grid.
Uninterrupted Power Until Fall
The summer of 2026 in Ukraine will be marked by energy balancing: despite more optimistic forecasts, rolling blackouts were in effect on June 30 and July 1.
The main risks remain heavy shelling and the summer heat, which traditionally coincides with scheduled maintenance at nuclear power plants. At the same time, even the rapid development of solar power generation is unable to fully cover the shortfall, as Ukraine still critically lacks industrial batteries to meet evening consumption peaks.
This was reportedby the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
