A lawmaker from Luhansk Oblast will stand trial for embezzling funds from a municipal hospital
Police investigators in the Luhansk region have completed an investigation into a member of the Severodonetsk District Council who is accused of illicit enrichment totaling more than 10.6 million hryvnias and embezzlement of funds from a municipal hospital. The indictment, prepared under the procedural supervision of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, has been submitted to the court.
According to the investigation, while serving as the head of a municipal general hospital, the official acquired unjustified assets in various currencies, which law enforcement officials seized during searches. In addition, under martial law, he organized the purchase of a laparoscopic surgery kit at a knowingly inflated price, causing 4.2 million hryvnias in losses to the Sievierodonetsk community.
The suspect’s actions have been classified under Part 5 of Article 191 and Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—misappropriation of property through abuse of official position and illegal enrichment. Officers from the Security Service of Ukraine provided operational support in the case.

An official from one of the municipal military administrations in the Luhansk region will stand trial for embezzling nearly 900,000 UAH in budget funds.
NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) announced the exposure of a scheme through which, according to investigators, 137.5 million hryvnias could have been embezzled from the Kyiv Metro municipal enterprise. Seven people have been named as suspects in the case—a former employee and three current employees of the enterprise, two alleged co-organizers, and the head of a controlled company.
