By the end of the year, the SvitloDIM program will cover an additional 3,600 homes — Svyrydenko

In Ukraine, more than 2,000 apartment buildings will be able to use elevators and hot water without interruption, even during regular power outages, thanks to the government’s “SvitloDIM” program.

The initiative was created to support the energy resilience of the residential sector during crises.

The government plans to scale up this project and secure additional funding to assist Ukrainians.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko officially announced the significant results of this important social initiative.

According to her, the funding allows residents to purchase and install alternative power sources for the critical infrastructure of their high-rise buildings.

This significantly increases the self-sufficiency of the housing stock during prolonged power outages.

Under the terms of the state program, co-owners of apartment buildings are eligible to receive substantial non-repayable financial support.

The amount of assistance ranges from 100,000 to 300,000 hryvnias per building.

These funds are allocated for the purchase of equipment to ensure uninterrupted lighting, water and heat supply, communication, elevator operation, and security systems during prolonged power outages.

The government will cover the costs of solar power stations, high-capacity batteries, inverters, and generators. Setting up an autonomous power supply helps prevent heating systems from freezing and water supply from stopping in the winter.

Co-owners of condominiums can independently choose the necessary technical solutions according to the needs of their building.

This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
