“We’ll get to Max too”: Zelenskyy comments on the work of intelligence agencies regarding Russia’s new messaging app

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is conducting intelligence operations via Telegram within Russian territory and is already preparing to use the new Russian messaging app Max.

According to the head of state, Russian intelligence agencies actively use Telegram in their operations, but Ukraine is also operating through this platform within Russia.

“We are also operating via Telegram in Russia,” Zelenskyy noted.

He added that Ukrainian services have already received information about the new Russian messaging app Max, which is being promoted as an alternative to Telegram following restrictions on the latter.

“We’ll get to ‘Max’ too,” the president stated.

Zelenskyy also criticized the Kremlin’s policy of restricting the internet and communications, noting that this is being done to tighten control over society.

“All of this is for total control. We understand what Putin is building,” he emphasized.

The president added that Russia is moving in the opposite direction of progress by restricting modern technologies and freedom of access to information.

As a reminder, Russianmilitary personnel have been banned from using Telegram for official purposes.
