The dollar has fallen again; the NBU has announced a new exchange rate for July 16

The National Bank of Ukraine has published the official exchange rates for Thursday, July 16. The dollar weakened, while the hryvnia continued to strengthen against the U.S. currency.

According to the NBU, the dollar exchange rate was set at 44.75 hryvnia. This is 13 kopecks less than the previous rate. Meanwhile, the official euro exchange rate stands at 51.07 hryvnia.

The hryvnia also strengthened against the euro: the official exchange rate for the European currency on Thursday was set at 51.07 hryvnia per euro, meaning the national currency also appreciated by 13 kopecks.

On Ukraine’s interbank foreign exchange market, by 4:00 p.m., the hryvnia’s exchange rate against the dollar stood at 44.72/44.76 UAH/USD, and against the euro at 51.04/51.08 UAH/EUR.

The dollar exchange rate could reach 46.5 hryvnias by the end of the year.

As a reminder, the National Bank of Ukraine set the new official exchange rates for July 15. The dollar will rise by 21 kopecks, bringing its value to 44.88 hryvnia.

As a reminder, the dollar and the euro remained virtually unchanged on the foreign exchange market on July 13. Currency exchange offices saw slight increases, while most major banks left their rates unchanged.
