Maxim Nelipa's daughter spoke about her last conversation with her father
The daughter of the late entertainer and soldier Maksym Nelipa has spoken for the first time about their last conversation, which took place a few days before the tragedy. She shared warm yet painful details of the final messages from her father, who remained close to his family until the very end, even while serving on the front lines.
Maksym Nelipa’s daughter, Maria, shared very personal memories of her final days of communication with her father, a soldier who died on the front lines, and these words became a way for her to revisit those brief but incredibly important moments of connection with him.
In an interview on Marichka Padalko’s YouTube channel, she said that she last spoke with her father on May 8, 2025, and that four days before his death, he sent her a photo, which she still keeps as a memento of him, and emphasized that they were in touch every day because he was constantly worried about his children and tried to keep the family close, even while at war.

“The last time I spoke to him was four days before May 12. We talked. He sent me a photo… My father really loved cats and dogs. We texted every day, but once a week I’d get a photo with a kitten,” Maria recalls, explaining that it was precisely these small but heartfelt gestures that were her greatest source of support.
According to her, her father always found a way to stay close emotionally, sending videos, celebrating holidays with his comrades, and trying not to lose his lightheartedness even under the harsh conditions of the front, and these messages became an important part of her memories of him. “I had so many photos and videos of him wishing me a happy March 8. He was there with his comrades, wishing me a happy holiday—it was a very sweet video. I’m proud that my father could find the time to write to me, to ask how I was doing. He missed me,” his daughter added.
Maksym Nelipa, a well-known Ukrainian TV host and entertainer who hosted the popular shows “Loto-Zabava” and “Win a Million,” volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022 and later died at the age of 48, leaving behind his wife and two children—Artem and Maria.
