Two members of parliament resigned their seats following their appointments to the Cabinet of Ministers
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the appointments of Vitaliy Bezgin and Denys Maslov, members of parliament from the “Servant of the People” faction, to positions in the new Cabinet of Ministers led by Serhiy Koretskyi.
Vitaliy Bezgin was appointed head of the Ministry of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons. This is the first time the ministry has been renamed to explicitly include “internally displaced persons” in its title.
Denis Maslov, who previously chaired the parliamentary committee on legal policy, has been appointed Minister of Justice of Ukraine. In this role, he replaced the former head of the ministry.
In connection with their transition to the executive branch, both officials resigned from their parliamentary seats. The appointments were supported by 264 members of parliament.
