Two districts of Odesa are temporarily without water

On September 11, the water supply was temporarily suspended in the Kyivskyi and Khadzhibey districts of Odesa. This was caused by an emergency power outage that cut off electricity to some of Infoksvodokanal’s facilities. As a result, water pressure may drop in the Primorsky District.

Part of Odesa was temporarily left without water due to a power grid failure. This was reported by “Infoksvodokanal.” According to the company, DTEK “Odesa Power Grids” recorded an emergency equipment shutdown. As a result, some consumers were left without power. The power outage also affected certain facilities operated by “Infoksvodokanal.” Additionally, the backup power sources for these facilities were left without power.

Due to power outages, water supply has been temporarily suspended in the Kyivskyi and Khadzhibeyskyi districts of Odesa. In the Primorskyi district, water may currently be supplied at reduced pressure. Therefore, residents may notice lower water pressure from their faucets. “Infoksvodokanal” explained that the restoration of water supply depends on the work of the power company. Once the outage is resolved and power is restored, water supply will be gradually resumed.

In other words, full restoration of water service will not happen immediately. After power is restored, the system will need some time to return to normal operation. “Infoksvodokanal” asked Odessa residents to be understanding of the situation and apologized for the temporary inconvenience. At this time, residents of the Kyiv and Khadzhibey districts should be prepared for a possible water outage and, if possible, stock up on water. Once emergency repairs are complete, water service is expected to be restored gradually. This information was reported by “Infoksvodokanal.”
