Former SBU Head Malyuk made his first public appearance since his resignation
Former SBU Director Vasyl Malyuk made his first public appearance since stepping down. He was spotted on April 21 at a pre-premiere screening of the film “Killhouse.”
This was reported by political journalist and founder of the Institute of World Policy Viktor Shlinchak.
What is known about Malyuk’s public appearance?
According to Shlinchak, Malyuk looked energetic and attracted significant attention from the event’s guests. A line even formed around him of people eager to take photos—in fact, he became one of the evening’s main “stars,” rivalling Vitali Klitschko.
The screening, organized by the Third Corps, brought together many prominent Ukrainians—including politicians, military personnel, and business representatives. Malyuk himself also contributed to the film’s creation and appeared in the final scenes, which are dedicated to the operation of Ukrainian special forces.
