Former Khmelnytskyi Regional Police Chief Ptashchuk has declared ownership of a luxury car and several hectares of land

Vasyl Ptashchuk, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi District Police Department, has released his financial disclosure statement.

In the document, the former high-ranking official listed a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV worth over one million hryvnias, significant cash savings, and more than 15,000 square meters of land

The official worked in law enforcement for a long time; specifically, from 2010 to 2015, he headed the Khmelnytskyi City Police Department, and later the district police department.

The former official and his family own a substantial amount of real estate in and around the regional center.

Journalists identified eight land plots with a total area of over 15,000 square meters, the value of which was inexplicably omitted from the report.

The family also owns a 48.9-square-meter apartment in Khmelnytskyi with a clearly undervalued appraised value of 11,124 hryvnias, as well as a garage belonging to his wife.

In addition, the former police officer listed two unfinished construction projects in the documents—future private residential homes.

The former law enforcement officer’s vehicle fleet includes a prestigious Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150.

This 2021 SUV was purchased in August of that year for 1.15 million hryvnias and is officially wholly owned by the declarant.

The former official’s bank accounts hold a substantial sum exceeding 1.85 million hryvnias.

The family also keeps some of its savings in cash—the official has $3,000, and his wife has saved 450,000 hryvnias.

Vasyl Ptaschuk’s official income for 2025 came from several sources and, in total, brought him a significant amount of money.

His salary in this position was 741,000 hryvnias, pension payments reached 130,000, and interest on bank deposits added another 161,500 hryvnias.

The head of “Forests of Ukraine” declared millions in income and cash

Also in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the prosecutor’s office is seeking through the courts to recover nearly 387 million hryvnias in damages caused by logging in the “Hutsulshchyna” National Park. The investigation claims that under the guise of sanitary work, over 9,000 trees were destroyed there without the necessary permits and approvals. Now, they are attempting to hold the state-owned enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” responsible, to which the relevant forestry enterprise was later merged.
