Yermak commented on the court's decision and the possibility of bail
Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President, commented on the court’s decision regarding the preventive measure imposed on him. He also stated that he would decide on his next steps, including whether to post bail and whether to file an appeal.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine on May 14.
Former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak reacted to the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC). According to him, he is ready to go to pretrial detention and plans to take “only the bare essentials” with him.
“I have nothing to hide... Everything that happened around the trial took place under pressure that lasted several months,” he said.
Yermak denies all charges.
The HACC set bail at 140 million hryvnias as an alternative to detention. Yermak said he does not have that kind of money.
At the same time, he noted that he has “many friends” and will try to raise the amount—if the opportunity arises.
The former head of the Presidential Office also announced that he would file an appeal. According to him, he will continue to fight and does not consider the case closed.
As a reminder, the lawyer for former Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak stated that NABU detectives conducted three searches of his apartment.
It is also known that Yermak discussed the heads of NABU and the SAPO with a “fortune-teller,” although he later said he had no connection to fortune-tellers.
The High Anti-Corruption Court partially upheld the motion of the SAPO prosecutor and imposed a preventive measure on Andriy Yermak in the form of 60 days of pretrial detention.
