Yermak was served with a notice of suspicion regarding the laundering of 460 million hryvnias in connection with a luxury construction project near Kyiv

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has officially confirmed that it has served a notice of suspicion on Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—legalization (laundering) of property obtained by criminal means by an organized group or in particularly large amounts (punishable by 8 to 12 years in prison with confiscation).

This is stated in a NABU press release.

“NABU and the SAPO have exposed an organized group involved in the legalization of 460 million hryvnias in an elite construction project near Kyiv. One of its members—the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine—has been notified of the charges. Charge: Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Urgent investigative actions are ongoing,” the Bureau’s post states.

NABU revealed details of the crime in a video:

Prior to this, footage appeared online showing NABU agents intercepting Yermak near the Kyiv Sports Palace and presumably serving him with a notice of suspicion.

Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine commented on reports of a possible indictment against former Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, emphasizing that such procedural decisions are not announced in advance and are based solely on the evidence gathered. The agency stressed that any indictment can be served only after proper justification by the investigation. At the same time, they noted that all investigative actions are conducted within the law and under court supervision.

In early February, UP journalist Mykhailo Tkach tracked down Andriy Yermak and investigated the contacts of the state’s former second-in-command. The investigation confirmed that the “vice president” had only publicly distanced himself from the head of state, but not from his affairs. The article “The Godfather ‘on the Sidelines’” suggests that Yermak continues to wield influence, particularly through his people who remain in high-ranking positions. He has set up his new office on Horodetskyi Street, near the government quarter.
