In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, law enforcement officers uncovered a married couple who had organized a large-scale distribution of drugs and psychotropic substances, concealing them in children’s books, clothing, and electronics boxes.

According to the investigation, a 28-year-old man and woman from the village of Bohorodchany purchased amphetamine, cannabis, PVP, and MMS, packaged them at home, and sold them via Telegram. Orders were sent by mail using fictitious sender and recipient information.

In mid-June, law enforcement officers caught a 19-year-old resident of the village of Polyanytsia red-handed after she received a package containing nearly 33 grams of PVP. According to investigators, she planned to sell the psychotropic substances via “stashes.”

“In total, more than 20 instances of the couple selling drugs and psychotropic substances were documented in May and June,” the statement said.

During searches of the suspects’ residence, authorities seized approximately 840 grams of PVP, 350 grams of amphetamine, 1.5 kilograms of cannabis, 116 ecstasy tablets, as well as packaging equipment, rough notes, and money obtained from illegal activities.

The court ordered them to be held in pretrial detention.
