Zelenskyy Named Putin's Only Advantage in the War
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is now entering a critical phase of the war. According to him, Russia no longer has the upper hand on the battlefield, and the main weapon Vladimir Putin has left is ballistic missiles.
The head of state told reporters this after meetings with partners during the summit. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has grown stronger both on the ground and in the air. He emphasized that this was made possible first and foremost by the Ukrainian military, who hold back the Russian army every day and enable the country to strengthen its positions. “Ukraine has grown stronger both on the battlefield and in the air. And everyone can see the results. Undoubtedly, this is first and foremost thanks to our military. I am very grateful to them for this. They give me the opportunity to strengthen my position, which is why I said—there is a window of opportunity,” the president stated.
According to Zelenskyy, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is receiving updates on the situation at the front and understands that the Russian army no longer has the advantage claimed by the Kremlin.
At the same time, the president noted that Russia still has the capability to launch ballistic missile strikes, particularly against civilian targets in Ukraine. “There are ballistic missiles; there really are such absolutely tragic and horrific strikes against the civilian population of our country, but that is the only advantage he has left. There is nothing else. Everyone can see that,” Zelenskyy said.
