Ukrvinprom expressed outrage over Crimean wines being entered into international competitions as Russian wines

The “Ukrvinprom” Corporation has expressed outrage over the decisions of the organizers of international wine competitions, who allowed Russian products—including wines from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea—to participate and awarded them prizes.

Specifically, at the 2026 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competition in Armenia, Russian wine brands received awards, including products from the occupied peninsula. A similar situation was observed at the Korea Wine Challenge 2026 in South Korea, where Crimean wines were also presented as Russian, which contributes to the legitimization of the occupation and the promotion of goods with falsely indicated origins.

In light of this, “Ukrvinprom” has already appealed to the relevant Ukrainian government agencies, calling for an appropriate response at the international level. The corporation emphasized that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is part of Ukraine, and therefore products manufactured there cannot be recognized as belonging to any other state.

Ukrvinprom announced this on Facebook.

Due to the occupation, Crimean winemakers have been left without loans, sales markets, or bottles.

The head of the National Production and Agricultural Association “Massandra” has been charged with looting national assets in occupied Crimea.
