Ukroboronprom Fired the Heads of Two Companies Following the Explosions in Vyshneve
"Ukroboronprom" has made personnel decisions following the explosions at an ammunition depot in Vyshneve, near Kyiv. The heads of two state-owned enterprises were dismissed for violating legal requirements and regulations governing the safe storage of ammunition.
“Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC upholds the principle of accountability,” the statement said.
It is noted that, based on the results of a preliminary investigation, the heads of two state-owned enterprises, who were found to have violated legal requirements and regulations for the safe storage of ammunition, have been dismissed.
Other officials whose actions or inaction could have led to serious consequences were also dismissed. “Ukroboronprom” did not specify exactly which individuals were involved.
The agency assured that all those at fault will face criminal liability in accordance with current Ukrainian law, in addition to being dismissed.
“JSC UOP is fully cooperating with the SBU and other pre-trial investigation agencies, providing all necessary information and documents,” Ukroboronprom stated.
In addition, an audit is underway at all of the company’s enterprises to verify compliance with storage and safety requirements when handling weapons systems.

As a reminder, in Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private residential buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were being treated at medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.
During the Russian attack on Vyshneve on the night of July 6, a dog named Yosya found himself locked inside a house engulfed in flames. His owners were certain he had perished, but the animal managed to escape the fire.
