Photo: A training center for patrol officers has opened in Ukraine
A Patrol Police Training Center has opened in Ukraine; it will operate out of a tactical training facility and serve as a venue for training law enforcement officers in high-risk situations.
The first group to undergo training at the center will consist of 80 patrol officers from various regions of Ukraine.
“The first 80 patrol officers from various regions of Ukraine will undergo training in the ‘Active Shooter’ course. The officers will practice tactical skills, teamwork, and response protocols in crisis situations,” the National Police of Ukraine stated.
The program includes:
- tactical medicine and evacuation of the wounded;
- practicing responses during “active shooter” and CQB scenarios;
- firearms training;
- hand-to-hand combat techniques and 3RC defensive tactics.
Police officials emphasized that practical training sessions will be conducted using scenarios that closely mimic the real-life situations law enforcement officers may encounter while on duty.
At the same time, a basic instructor training course is beginning at the center.
Thirty police officers will participate in the course; upon completion, they will be able to share modern training standards with their colleagues in the regions.
Thus, the new center is intended not only to improve the level of tactical training for patrol officers but also to establish a network of instructors to disseminate modern training methods throughout Ukraine.
