The General Staff has denied rumors about Syrsky's dismissal

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that reports of the alleged dismissal of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi are untrue.

The General Staff emphasized that Syrskyi continues to perform his duties as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov also remains in his position as Chief of the General Staff.

The General Staff noted that the decision to dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Chief of the General Staff can only be made by a decree of the President of Ukraine.

At this time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Office of the President, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not publicly commented on this parliamentary initiative. It is also unclear at this time whether the necessary number of votes will be gathered for the motion to become an official request from the Verkhovna Rada to the head of state. This was reported by Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly considering replacing Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing a senior official in the Office of the President whose name has not been disclosed.
