Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, July 15. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
Sybiga announced the visit after the Verkhovna Rada ratified the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey. The minister thanked the members of parliament for supporting the agreement and called it the result of many years of work.
“Today’s ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey is an important milestone in our bilateral relations. I sincerely thank the members of parliament for supporting this important decision. This agreement is the result of many years of persistent and, at times, difficult work, and today’s vote turns our joint efforts into a tangible achievement,” the minister wrote.
According to the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, the agreement opens up new opportunities for the development of trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Sybiga also noted that during his meeting with Hakan Fidan, the parties plan to discuss the further development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified a free trade agreement with the Republic of Turkey. The decision was approved by 236 members of parliament, paving the way for the agreements between the countries to take effect.
