Serhiy Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction, Resigns
Serhiy Sukhomlyn, head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development of Ukraine, submitted his resignation on July 30. The Cabinet of Ministers is expected to adopt a decision on the matter in the coming days.
At present, the high-ranking official has submitted his resignation. The Cabinet’s personnel decision is expected in the coming days.
“A civilized European approach: The Rada has appointed a new prime minister and members of the Cabinet. They have their own team,” a source told the publication.
The most likely successor to Sukhomlyn as head of the Agency for Reconstruction will be Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko.
In early October 2024, Serhiy Sukhomlyn assumed the position of head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Recovery and Development. Prior to that, he had served as mayor of Zhytomyr since 2016.
