Ukraine has introduced new combat pay of up to 460,000 hryvnias

Ukraine has approved a new procedure for incentive payments to service members of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and special-purpose police units.

The maximum amount of additional compensation can reach 460,000 hryvnias per month, depending on the complexity and results of combat missions.

The new mechanism provides for up to 100,000 hryvnias for direct participation in combat operations, 170,000 hryvnias for carrying out missions on the front lines, 70,000 hryvnias for service in other sectors of the front, as well as separate payments for capturing or retaking positions, taking Russian soldiers prisoner, and eliminating the enemy in close combat.

According to Interior Minister Ivan Vyhovskyi, the orders have already been submitted for state registration. Once they officially take effect, payments will be retroactively calculated starting June 1, 2026.
