Hanna Hvozdar has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine. In her new position, she will oversee the development of the defense-industrial complex and the export of Ukrainian defense solutions.
What the new Deputy Minister Will Be Responsible For
Gvozdiar’s area of responsibility will be Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. The needs of the front lines remain a key priority—the military must receive the necessary Ukrainian weapons in a timely manner and in sufficient quantities to counter Russian threats on the battlefield.
A separate focus of Gvozdiar’s work will be the export of Ukrainian defense solutions, the production of which exceeds the needs of the front lines. According to the Ministry of Defense, exports can serve as a tool for developing mutually beneficial partnerships with Ukraine’s allies and attracting additional funding for Ukrainian defense.
The overarching goal is a strong defense industry that supplies the front lines with what is needed now and creates a long-term advantage for Ukraine.
