The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed most of the members of the supervisory board of Ukrhydroenergo
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted an official decision to dismiss the majority of the members of the supervisory board of the private joint-stock company “Ukrhydroenergo.”
The corresponding order was signed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to the published document, the officials’ terms will be fully terminated as of July 7, 2026.
The personnel changes affected both independent experts and the direct representative of state interests on the board of this strategic enterprise.
Four independent members of the supervisory board have been dismissed from their official positions: Valentin Gvozdiy, Natalia Mykolska, Oleg Terletskyi, and Stephen Lerd Walsh.
In addition, by a government decision, the powers of Vitaliy Kushnirov, who served as the state representative, have been terminated.
In the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers is expected to announce the appointment of new government representatives and launch a transparent competitive selection process to recruit new independent experts.
“The terms of office of these officials will be terminated as of July 7, 2026. The decision applies to both independent experts and the direct representative of state interests on the board of the strategic enterprise,” the text of the official order states.
The private joint-stock company “Ukrhydroenergo” is the largest hydropower company in Ukraine.
The company ensures stable electricity generation from renewable sources, effectively utilizing the hydropower potential of the country’s largest rivers—the Dnipro and the Dniester.
The company is of strategic importance for the stability and security of Ukraine’s integrated power system.
