The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed acting ministers of defense and foreign affairs
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Yevhen Khmara as acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine and Andriy Sibiga as acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.
These appointments are temporary—the officials will perform the duties of their respective ministers until the relevant personnel decisions are made in accordance with the procedure established by law.

As a reminder, on July 16, rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov took place for the second time that day in Kyiv, Lviv, and Lutsk following reports of his resignation as Minister of Defense. Participants called on the authorities to continue the reforms that have been initiated and to transparently select new leadership for the Ministry of Defense.
Russian Z-bloggers reacted positively to Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal as Ukraine’s defense minister, claiming that this could allegedly weaken the Ukrainian army.
