The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to exempt payments to kindergartens from taxes
The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada that would exempt payments under the "eSadok" program from taxation.
This is stated in bill No. 15193.
The document proposes amendments to the Tax Code so that the monthly payment is not included in citizens’ taxable income. This means that parents will receive the full amount without any tax deductions.
If the law is not passed, a 23% tax will be levied on the payment—18% personal income tax and 5% military levy. In that case, instead of 8,000 UAH, families would receive 6,160 UAH.
The bill was registered on April 24, 2026, and was initiated by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The document has been submitted to the relevant parliamentary committee for review.
The “eSadok” program is set to launch on January 1, 2028. It provides payments to families whose children did not receive spots in public kindergartens.
The amount of assistance will be 8,000 UAH per month, and 12,000 UAH for children with disabilities.
The Ministry of Defense announced that combat pay for March 2026 has been fully disbursed. The funds are expected to be credited to service members’ bank accounts in the coming days.
Ukraine has reached an agreement with a group of international creditors on a significant deferral of payments on the national debt until 2030.
