Svyrydenko met with Tusk in Rzeszów and discussed defense cooperation
The prime ministers of Ukraine and Poland held a meeting in Rzeszów, Poland, during which they discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation.
This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the parties focused primarily on issues of defense, energy, trade, as well as the development of border and logistics infrastructure.
Svyrydenko noted that an agreement on joint border control at shared checkpoints is planned to be signed in the near future, and technical issues related to the registration of Ukrainian carriers in the SENT/RMPD system will be resolved.

Separately, they discussed strengthening cooperation between the energy companies Naftogaz and ORLEN, as well as the participation of Polish businesses in privatization processes in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister thanked the Polish side for preparing to host the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, as well as for supporting sanctions against Russia and EU financial assistance.

She also emphasized the importance of receiving the first tranche of European aid as soon as possible and beginning negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Svyrydenko invited Donald Tusk to participate in the International Summit of Cities and Regions, which will take place in May in Kyiv.
