The Ministry of Defense has launched a new Defense AI Center, "A1," which is intended to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence into combat operations.
This was announced by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
The center is headed by former leaders of the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s AI division, Danylo Tsivok (CEO) and Dmytro Ovcharenko (CTO).
“A1” will focus on the development, research, and implementation of AI solutions for the military, with an emphasis on practical effectiveness on the battlefield.
A key area of focus will be data management—standardization, protection, and use for training models.
The team will also develop AI infrastructure, simulation environments, and tools that can be integrated directly into military units.
The center is being established with the support of the United Kingdom and will involve cooperation with international partners and technology companies.
