Cyber police warned about fraud: criminals are demanding money on behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Ukrainian Cyber Police has reported cases of fraud in which criminals create fake websites that completely mimic the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. When users visit such a website, they receive fake messages about alleged violations and threats of criminal liability, forcing them to pay fictitious fines. The scammers use QR codes to collect money.

The cyber police are urging people to be careful and check the addresses of the sites they visit, as real government sites have the domain gov.ua. Law enforcement agencies also advise against making any payments on suspicious websites and to act quickly when entering personal data. This is an important warning given the growing use of fraudulent schemes in Ukraine, which can cause significant financial losses to citizens.
