The number of residents in Defence City has risen to 51
Six more Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment have joined the special legal regime of Defence City.
The total number of project residents has increased from 45 to 51.
Defence City resident status provides defense companies with tax and customs incentives, relocation support, protection of production facilities, additional protection of sensitive information, and streamlined export procedures.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the expansion of Defence City should help Ukrainian manufacturers scale up production, attract investment, and strengthen the protection of their enterprises.

The special “Defence City” regime has officially launched in Ukraine, designed to simplify operating conditions for defense sector enterprises. On January 15, the Ukrainian Arms Manufacturers Council held a closed offline meeting titled “Among Arms Manufacturers: Defence City Is Up and Running—How to Become a Resident?”, dedicated to the practical aspects of the new mechanism.
On December 17, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a package of decisions to launch the special legal regime for the development of the “Defence City” defense ecosystem, which will take effect on January 5, 2026.
