Kim proposed introducing a Military Card for service members and veterans
During a meeting with the leadership of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, “Azov,” Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs, Vitaliy Kim, proposed creating a Military Card for service members and veterans. The initiative is intended to be part of a system to support and expand defenders’ access to public and private services.
“We discussed current issues related to support for service members, veterans, female veterans, and their family members. We paid particular attention to cooperation with support services, as well as to improving the system for assisting service members after injury, discharge from service, and return to civilian life,” according to a statement from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs following the meeting.
It is noted that one of the topics of the meeting was new tools to support service members and the veteran community.
In particular, the minister shared the idea of creating a Military Card, which is currently being developed by a team at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
“I have an idea to create what is known as a Military Card. This is a card that will accompany a person from the moment of conscription into military service, throughout their entire service, and until their return to civilian life. It will consolidate in one place all benefits, payments, entitlements, and other information needed by service members and veterans,” the press service quoted Kim as saying.
As a reminder, Russia has put the new Banderole cruise missile into serial production.
Throughout June and July, Russian troops carried out 16 attacks on food infrastructure facilities in the Odesa region. About 80% of these strikes were carried out using “Banderol”-type drones.
Photos of the new Russian ground-based launcher for the S8000 “Banderole” cruise missile have appeared online. Analysts at Defense Express believe that such a system could pose a new threat to Ukraine, as it would allow missiles to be launched without the use of carrier drones and would significantly reduce the response time of Ukraine’s air defense forces.
