Koretsky Wants to Tighten Oversight of the Cabinet's Work
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced plans to streamline the work of the government and make governance more efficient. He instructed officials to strengthen coordination among government agencies and oversight of the implementation of government decisions.
Ukraine’s new Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that the government must work faster and more efficiently. According to him, one of the main tasks will be to streamline public administration and improve coordination between various agencies.
The Prime Minister said he had a conversation with State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Kostyantyn Marievych. During the meeting, they discussed changes in the work of government agencies and the need to make management processes more coordinated.
Koretsky emphasized that he expects the government team to organize its work clearly and exercise greater control over the implementation of adopted decisions. “I expect high-quality organization of the work of the government and government agencies, clear coordination between agencies, and strict oversight of the implementation of adopted decisions,” the Prime Minister stated.
Public Administration Reform During the War
The discussion also touched on reforming the public administration system. Koretskyi noted that Ukraine needs a professional and effective government apparatus capable of responding quickly to challenges, especially under martial law. “We face the task of building a professional and effective government apparatus capable of ensuring swift and high-quality management of processes, especially under martial law,” the head of government emphasized.
According to the prime minister, the changes should help make the work of government agencies more coordinated and effective.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly considering replacing Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. The Financial Times reported this, citing a senior official in the Office of the President whose name has not been disclosed.
