The Ministry of Defense is launching a procurement process for a new, large-scale batch of extended-range 155-mm artillery shells for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The Defense Procurement Agency will announce the corresponding competitive tender.
According to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, long-range 155-mm ammunition remains one of the Ukrainian military’s top priorities. All manufacturers and suppliers whose products meet the established requirements are invited to participate in the tender.
For security reasons, the procedure will be conducted behind closed doors.
Fedorov noted that the previous competitive tender resulted in savings of over 16% of the expected procurement cost, which made it possible to purchase tens of thousands more artillery rounds for Ukrainian defenders.
