The Ministry of Education and Science has announced the dates for entrance exams for master's and doctoral programs
On June 17, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the key dates for the main session of entrance exams for admission to master’s and doctoral (postgraduate) programs. Applicants are advised to check the information in their personal accounts in advance and monitor updates regarding admission passes and exam schedules.
By June 19, 2026, admission test invitations will appear in applicants’ personal accounts. This document will specify the date, time, and location of the exams.
The national entrance exams will take place on the following dates:
- For prospective master’s students: June 26 through July 14.
- For prospective doctoral students: July 14–29.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to check the information in their accounts in advance and stay tuned for updates from the organizers.
Funding for the modernization of the software used to administer the National Modernization Test (NMT), the Unified State Exam (USE), and the Unified State Assessment (USA), as well as for updating the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE), is provided with support from the World Bank.
This is part of a joint project between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and World Bank Ukraine titled “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results,” which aims to increase the efficiency and transparency of the admissions processes.
We previously reported that more than 102,000 applicants plan to apply for master’s programs this year—all of whom have already received their exam sheets at their respective higher education institutions.
Geographic distribution of applicants:
- In Ukraine: 97,887 applicants.
- Abroad: 4,638 applicants.
A separate campaign is underway for those planning to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Arts (D.A.) degree. More than 20,000 people have expressed a desire to take the relevant exams:
- 19,676 candidates will take the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE).
- 20,459 candidates will take the Unified Professional Entrance Exam (UPEE).
