The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ukrainian Embassy in France are working to identify the three victims of the high-profile explosion in Monaco, who, according to media reports, are Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev—who is subject to sanctions—and his relatives.
The Principality’s prosecutor’s office has already launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred on June 29 at around 9:00 p.m., and emergency services have confirmed that three people of Ukrainian origin were injured, two of whom are in very critical condition. This was reported to journalists by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Currently, the victims are being identified through official channels to verify whether they hold Ukrainian citizenship, and Ukrainian diplomats are on the scene to provide consular assistance. Law enforcement is searching for the suspect who planted the explosive device and was caught on surveillance cameras—according to preliminary reports, the man has already managed to flee to France.
