In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a man threw a grenade at military personnel from the Territorial Defense Command and a police officer
In the city of Kamianske, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a 50-year-old man attempted to blow up employees of the Military Registration and Enlistment Office and the Special Police Unit, as well as a police officer, with a grenade. The incident occurred on July 2 during routine public awareness activities.
According to law enforcement officials, while his military registration documents were being checked, a local resident—who had violated military registration rules—detonated the explosive device and threw it toward the inspection team.
As a result of the explosion, three people sustained injuries: a police officer, a serviceman from the district Military Registration and Enlistment Office, and the attacker himself. All of the injured were hospitalized. A police investigative team is working at the scene to establish all the circumstances of the offense; the issue of legal classification and entry of the information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations is currently being addressed.
