More than 200 km of anti-drone defenses have been installed along strategic routes in the Kherson region
The State Special Transport Service, acting on instructions from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, continues to significantly strengthen the protection of critical logistics routes in frontline regions. In particular, in the Kherson region, more than 207 kilometers of special anti-drone protection have already been deployed on the most vulnerable sections of roads between communities and directly in the regional center.
In addition to installing protective nets on roads, following the de-occupation of the right bank of the Kherson region, specialists have already restored 13 bridge crossings that are of strategic importance for the region’s defense and life support. Active construction of defensive structures is also underway at critical infrastructure sites in the fuel and energy sector, with work already fully completed at two of these sites.
The protection of logistics routes is being scaled up in parallel in other regions as well: more than 600 km of anti-drone corridors are currently being deployed on roads in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions. In total, since the beginning of 2026, more than 887 km of such protective systems have been installed in frontline regions, and over 198 km of damaged roads were repaired during May and June. Thanks to the expansion of the State Special Transport Service’s technical capabilities, the pace of work has more than doubled compared to last year — from 4 km to 9.2 km per day, which makes it significantly safer to supply Defense Forces units and evacuate the wounded.
