In the Khmelnytskyi region, military law enforcement officers detained a servicemember who attempted to bribe an officer of the Military Law Enforcement Service with 25,000 hryvnias. The man had been wanted since April 2026 for deserting his military unit and hoped to use the money to have his name removed from the wanted list and subsequently evade military service.
The arrest was carried out by officers of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Division of the Military Law Enforcement Service in cooperation with the Internal Security Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service, the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, and the National Police, with the assistance of the “Scorpion” rapid response unit. The fact that an illegal benefit was offered has been documented, and the case materials have been transferred to the pre-trial investigation authority.
