In the Khmelnytskyi region, a community leader was arrested for accepting a bribe of 100,000 hryvnias
In the Khmelnytskyi region, law enforcement officers detained a 54-year-old head of a local community who, according to the investigation, demanded 100,000 hryvnias in bribes from a business owner. In exchange for this money, the official promised to facilitate the signing of a contract for roof repairs.
He also demanded money for signing certificates of completion and for subsequent payments under the contract.
The community head was detained after receiving the first installment of 50,000 hryvnias. During searches, law enforcement seized cash, documents, contracts, certificates of completion, and handwritten notes.





The official was notified of charges under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property. Law enforcement officials are investigating his possible involvement in other instances of bribery.
