A faint earthquake with a magnitude of 2 was recorded in the Khmelnytskyi region

In the Kamianets-Podilskyi District of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 was recorded at a depth of four kilometers. 

The seismic event occurred at 1:37 p.m. in the territory of the Novoushytska territorial community. According to the agency’s official classification, this earthquake was imperceptible, so it posed no threat to the population or the region’s infrastructure.

This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control.

Earlier, a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck Amami Island in Japan.

A powerful earthquake also struck China, leading to the evacuation of thousands of people.

Prior to this, an earthquake was recorded in Ukraine.
